2025 World Supercross Championship

When the 3Arena in Stockholm was transformed in preparation for the 2025 World Supercross Championship – Swedish GP, electric construction equipment from Elvate and XCMG played a key role. With powerful electric excavators and wheel loaders, Elvate helped shape the spectacular motocross track that would challenge some of the world’s best riders.

In preparation for the international motorsports event, 3Arena underwent a major transformation. The venue, which usually hosts soccer games and concerts, was set to be transformed into a state-of-the-art motocross track featuring jumps, turns, and technical challenges.

Building a motocross track inside an arena places high demands on precision, machinery capacity, and the work environment. Together with XCMG, Elvate provided electric construction equipment that was used to shape the track and prepare the arena for the competitions.

Powerful electric excavators and wheel loaders at work

Among the machines used during the track construction were the XE270-EV, a 32-metric-ton class electric excavator, and XC968-EV, an electric wheel loader weighing approximately 23 metric tons. Two powerful construction machines designed to deliver high performance with all the benefits of electric propulsion.

The machines helped with the work of moving and shaping material for the motocross track, where both precision and capacity were crucial.

Despite their impressive power, electric machines operate at a significantly lower noise level than traditional diesel machines. The combination of quieter operation, powerful performance, and the absence of local exhaust emissions makes electric construction equipment particularly well-suited for work in enclosed environments such as 3Arena.

Sustainable Construction with Electric Construction Equipment

The electrification of the construction and civil engineering industry is creating new opportunities to carry out projects with a lower local environmental impact. The track construction at 3Arena is a clear example of how electric construction equipment can be used even in demanding and unusual work environments.

Replacing diesel-powered machinery with electric alternatives can eliminate local exhaust emissions while reducing noise levels. This contributes to a better work environment and paves the way for more sustainable construction.

The project demonstrates that electric excavators and wheel loaders are not just an alternative for traditional construction sites. They are also powerful and efficient machines for large-scale events and special projects where both performance and environmental considerations are key factors.

Elvate and XCMG Are Official Partners of the 2025 World Supercross Championship

Elvate and XCMG were proud official partners of the 2025 World Supercross Championship – Swedish GP at 3Arena in Stockholm.

By providing electric construction equipment for the track construction project, Elvate had the opportunity to demonstrate how modern electric machinery technology works in practice. A project where motorsports, innovation, and electrification came together.
