What is the climate bonus?
The Climate Incentive is administered by the Swedish Energy Agency and is intended to accelerate the transition to fossil-free machinery in the construction, civil engineering, and industrial sectors. The support is a grant, not a loan, and is aimed at companies, municipalities, regions, and organizations. Individuals are not eligible to apply.
You can receive a grant of up to 20% of the investment. The grant is calculated based on the price difference between the electric machine and an equivalent diesel machine.
Calculation example: If an electric wheel loader costs 500,000 SEK more than its diesel counterpart, the subsidy can amount to 100,000 SEK—money you don’t have to pay back.
