From Machinery to Charging: How Elvate and XCMG Are Driving Electrification in the Nordic Region

A new article in Branschaktuellt explains how the partnership between Elvate and XCMG enables contractors to switch to electric power without compromising on performance.

Clients and suppliers are imposing increasingly stringent climate requirements on the construction industry, and as a result, more companies are expanding their fleets with electric-powered machines. Together with XCMG, Elvate is at the forefront of this trend.

“Our strength lies in the fact that, together with XCMG, we can offer solutions that meet the demands of the Nordic market without compromising on performance, uptime, or availability,” says Martin Lindén, Country Manager for Sweden and Norway at Elvate.

Built for electric power from the ground up

XCMG’s electric construction machines are designed for electric operation from the outset, with an integrated battery, powertrain, and control system. The goal is for them to last an entire workday with efficient fast charging. The product line includes excavators, wheel loaders, telescopic handlers, dump trucks, bulldozers, and reach stackers. Two examples are the XC968-EV wheel loader and the XE380-EV excavator.

The entire chain in one place

Elvate is responsible for the entire range: machines, mobile and stationary charging solutions, energy storage, service, and after-sales support in both Sweden and Norway. Each machine also comes with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.

In Stockholm, Elvate and XCMG have established a joint development center. There, XCMG’s specialists work on-site to test and adapt the machines to Nordic conditions.
